Adding the finishing touch to any photo

November 8th, 2009 Posted in General

When editing images theres one technique I most nearly always use.

To make a photo stand out as much as possible, when it’s finished and of the correct size I sharpen the image to make it stand out and gives the impression that it has been highlighted.

To achieve this effect in photoshop, simply goto filter > sharpen > sharpen.

If the effect wasn’t too prominent, try repeating the process. Too many times will make the image become speckled and pixellated.

Try playing about with what images this works best with. I find shots which are slightly blurred stand out a lot more after sharpening them.
